Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and owner of SpaceX, may soon enter the Internet service provider sector in India with a bang. According to a report, Musk has made preparations to launch his Stalin service in India. Along with this, the company has also started looking for partners for this.

There may be an alliance with these Indian companies
Indian companies that Elon Musk is eyeing as company partners to provide Starlink service in India include Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, BharatNet, and Raten. Musk-led SpaceX’s satellite broadband company Starlink may increase its focus on broadband service in rural areas.

Over 5000 pre-booking orders were received in India
If reports are to be believed, Starlink says that it has received more than 5,000 pre-booking orders from India. The company is charging $99 or Rs 7,350 per subscriber and is claiming to offer data speeds of 50 to 150 Mbps per second in the beta phase. Sanjay Bhargava, Country Director, Starlink in India, said that after the NITI Aayog identifies 12 districts under Phase-I, discussions will begin with broadband service providers and we will see the interest level of several companies and the Universal Service Obligation Fund.

Starling will provide internet service through satellite
In fact, Musk is providing internet service through satellite through StarLink and now wants to start it in India as well. Musk is awaiting regulatory approval to start this service. Now the Stalin service has started in some countries including America. At present, this service is being provided through more than 1500 satellites. The company can launch 12,000 satellites in the first phase of the project.
