Dehradun. District Magistrate Sonika and Senior Superintendent of Police Dalip Singh Kunwar inspected the parade ground and reviewed the preparations for Republic Day. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to make arrangements keeping in view the rain warning of the Meteorological Department. During this, the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police observed the rehearsal of the army and paramilitary force, police parade on the parade ground. After this, the District Magistrate, while inspecting the construction and beautification works being conducted on the parade ground, instructed to complete the works on a war footing before Republic Day. Earlier, in compliance with the instructions of the District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer Ms. Jharna Kamthan gave necessary guidelines to the concerned while taking stock of various preparations and arrangements along with the rehearsal of the parade and cultural program to be organized on the parade ground.

This year cultural programs include the Chholia dance (Almora), Harul dance by Jaunsar Bawar mythological cultural folk art stage and social organization Chakrata, Ranso dance by Rajeshwari Environment and Culture Committee Uttarkashi, Mela dance (Garhwali dance) by Sangam Cultural Committee, Chhapeli dance will be presented by Kumaon folk cultural art mirror Lohaghat Champawat. Parade by army and police, home guards, ex-servicemen, and presentation by police and paramilitary women bands. On the occasion of Republic Day, there will be tableaux of 9 departments, including garden There will be tableaux of education, health, child development, tourism, rural development, forest, and animal husbandry departments.
