For pilgrims outside Uttarakhand for the Chardham pilgrimage, the standard of proof of corona examination or quarantine period has been abolished from a certified lab from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) 72 hours ago. Now, following the health standards, people of other provinces of the country can easily make Chardham Yatra e-pass through the website of the Devasthanam Board. Till this evening, from the Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board website www.badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in, 4844 people have booked e-passes for four dhams, including 1172 for Shri Badrinath Dham and 2647 for Shri Kedarnath Dham, 641 for Shri Gangotri Dham 384 people have booked e-pass for Shri Yamunotri Dham.

The Tourism Minister of the state, Satpal Maharaj informed that the officers/employees of the Devasthanam Board have been deployed by the Devasthanam Board for the cooperation of trustees/right holders in Sri Yamunotri Dham and Sri Gangotri Dham. Maharaj said that under the Devasthanam Management Board Act, all the interests of rightful holders are protected.

It has been said that by Devasthanam, now people outside the state have been removed from the corona negative investigation report and the conditions of quarantine. Now everyone is allowed to visit Char Dham following the health standards. In the Char Dham, pilgrims are seen in temples, in which there is no barrier of any kind.

The Chardham Yatra has brought good results. Pilgrims are being given entry into the temples only after the thermal screening, sanitization for prevention, and prevention from corona epidemic. It is compulsory to wear masks. Devs are being seen in the temples from a prescribed distance so that the show can be maintained and adherence to corona safety standards. He informed that the passenger rest houses of Devasthanam Board have been opened on the journey route for the convenience of pilgrims. Pilgrims are expected to stay in the dhams only when it is absolutely necessary. It is the effort that the pilgrim should return to the nearest stations after darshan. It is the effort of the state government that there should be a gradual influx of pilgrims in the four dhams so that tourism and pilgrimage can get momentum. Tourism Minister Shri Maharaj said that now people from outside Uttarakhand can also travel without making Corona Negative Report by making e-pass for Chardham Yatra and fulfilling the health-related standards. Only people with corona symptoms who receive positive reports will not be allowed to visit Chardham unless their corona report is negative. If the corona symptoms are found in the general examination, the concerned district administration will get the passenger’s Kovid-19 RT PCR test done. Commissioner Garhwal / Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board Chief Executive Officer Ravinath Raman said that pilgrims coming from Helicopter have been exempted from e-Pass and the Heli Company concerned will be responsible for health check-up of pilgrims arriving from Haley to Darshan.

Additional Chief Executive Officer BD Singh informed that 92516 e-passes have been issued by the Devasthanam Board from July 1 to October 3 in the evening. E passes have been issued to pilgrims for the dates suggested by them. Pilgrims are reaching Darshan by taking this pass. Guidelines are being issued soon after increasing the number of visitors daily.

So far, more than 50 thousand pilgrims have reached Char Dham. Corona rescue standards are being followed and Chardham Yatra is going on continuously. According to portal in-charge Sanjay Chamoli, the pilgrims are constantly being contacted for the e-pass and proper guidance is being given to the passengers.
