The 22-month-long dharna has been postponed after the delegation of Chardham Teerth Purohit Haq-Hakukdhari Mahapanchayat Samiti met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

On Saturday, the priests of the four Dhams met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the Devasthanam Board and the Char Dham Yatra. After the assurance of the Chief Minister, the protest going on in the four Dhams against the Devasthanam Board was postponed.

The pilgrim priests have postponed the dharna till 30 October. Let us inform you that for the last 22 months, the protest was going on in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham regarding the Devasthanam Board.

Chardham is the main center of faith for the country and the world
The Chief Minister said that the Chardham of Uttarakhand is major centers of faith for the country and the world. The job of the government is to strengthen the infrastructure development in the temples. Continuous efforts are being made by the state government to start the Chardham Yatra soon.

Two pilgrimage priests from all four Dhams will also be included in the committee.
The rights of the people associated with Chardham will not be allowed to be affected in any way. The high-level committee formed under the Devasthanam Board will submit its report to the government after listening to the teerth priest associated with Chardham. The Chief Minister said that whatever is in the interest of the state, that work will be done.

After the meeting, Suresh Semwal, president of the Gangotri Temple Committee and convener of the Chardham Mahapanchayat Committee, said that the Chief Minister had invited us. The Chief Minister said that in the High Power Committee that has been formed, eight people will be made members on behalf of the committee. Based on the report, the appropriate solution will be worked out.

The Chief Minister has been assured by the Chardham Mahapanchayat Committee that whatever our dharna, demonstration, and agitation, we postpone it. We will keep it suspended till 30th October 2021.
