CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Marks Birthday with Heartfelt Celebration at Visual Disability Institute

Dehradun. On his birthday Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He joined the institute’s students for a cake‑cutting ceremony and spent quality time with them, sharing smiles and encouragement.

The youngsters were visibly thrilled to have the state’s leader among them. Dhami chatted with the children, praised their talents, and wished them a future filled with success. The atmosphere buzzed with warmth, camaraderie, and genuine affection.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted that every child possesses unique abilities and vast potential. He stressed that nurturing these gifts requires the right opportunities, steadfast encouragement, and confidence‑building support. According to Dhami, empowering persons with disabilities is not solely a governmental duty—it is a collective responsibility of the entire community.

He urged the students to chase their aspirations with self‑belief, perseverance, and consistent effort. Dhami reminded everyone that providing equal opportunities, dignity, and an inclusive environment is a shared obligation.

"Your smiles are the brightest candles on my birthday cake," Dhami said.

Spending the day with the children infused him with fresh energy and inspiration. He described their affection and the radiant smiles on their faces as the most cherished birthday gifts.

Accompanying the Chief Minister were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several teachers from the institute.
