Dehradun. Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has instructed the officials to chalk out a concrete action plan to completely curb the cases of human trafficking in the state. Taking the recent Chamoli incident seriously, the Chief Minister held a meeting with senior officials of the government at Bijapur House. The Chief Minister made it clear that the strictest action against crime should be ensured against women and children.

The Chief Minister directed that cases of cybercrime and crimes against children and women should be directly handed over to the regular police for action. A full-time Additional Secretary level officer should be appointed for monitoring the action taken on crimes against minors and women. Ensure action in fast track mode. It is not only to register a case but also to ensure that the offender gets the harshest punishment.

Chief Secretary Omprakash, Additional Chief Secretary Mati Radha Ratuli, DGP Ashok Kumar, Secretary Nitesh Jha, Amit Negi, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, and other officials were present in the meeting.
