The police and hotel administration heaved a sigh of relief when no bomb was found after a rigorous investigation for about two and a half hours. ACP DLF Vikas Kaushik said that the manager of Leela Hotel Varun Chhibber had informed the police control room on the phone on Tuesday morning. He told that the information about the planting of the bomb in his hotel has been given by some unknown person over the phone. The police, who swung into action, conducted a thorough search of the hotel along with the bomb squad, but nothing was found there.

After this, the police started an investigation of the unknown caller. It was learned that the mobile number from which the call was made was in the name of a person in Delhi. The problem was that after the incident, the above mobile number was switched off in the Gurugram area itself. When the police reached a hospital located in Sector-47 while searching, the whole matter got exposed.

The ACP said that it has also come to the fore in the investigation that earlier the above-mentioned youth had also called the landline of Delhi Airport and Hotel Taj to inform about the bomb. However, he could not talk to anyone there. On the other hand, due to this phone call from the youth, the people staying at Hotel Leela and the police team were disturbed for about two and a half hours.
