Dehradun. A few days ago, a video came to the notice of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami through social media, in which an elderly woman was sitting on the road of Mumbai wearing torn clothes, and was telling the video maker that “I am a resident of Almora”. My son and daughter live there, etc. The police department was directed by the Chief Minister to find the woman and bring her back home from Mumbai. After Pradeep Kumar Rai, Superintendent of Police, Almora, investigated, it was found that in the viral video, The mother who is seen is Smt. Hema Devi, resident of village Kotiag, tehsil Bhikiyasain, district Almora. She is mentally deranged and has been missing for the last 5-6 months. Her missing person has not been registered.

A team of Almora police went to Mumbai and the said elderly woman has been traced. Now they are being brought after getting their medical checkup done. Expressing happiness over the finding of the elderly woman, the Chief Minister congratulated the police team.

Let us tell you that in the past, the video of Almora’s elderly woman wandering was becoming increasingly viral on the internet media. Gurvinder, a resident of Haldwani, made a video and circulated it on various platforms, after which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered to bring back the old man from Mumbai on Tuesday. Almora police had left for Mumbai on Tuesday on the instructions of the SSP. Now the elderly woman is being brought back after getting her checkup done.
