Chief Minister participated in the passing out parade of ITBP officers

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the passing out parade ceremony of 42 Assistant Fighters (GD) and 11 Assistant Fighters (Engineer) of ITBP at ITBP Academy, Mussoorie. Congratulating all the 53 trainee officers, the Chief Minister said that they are fortunate to have got the opportunity to serve in a force of excellence like ITBP. Whose Himveer is guarding the very inaccessible border of 3488 km from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jechup La in Arunachal Pradesh with full readiness.

The Chief Minister said that the brave soldiers of our country have shown unequaled valor in every struggle after independence. Saluting the martyrs of the force, the Chief Minister said that today we are safe only because of the martyrdom of the martyrs.

The important contribution of Himveers of ITBP in all fields
The Chief Minister said that he himself is the son of an ex-serviceman and he is feeling proud by participating in this program. It is said in our scriptures, ‘Veer Bhogya Vasundhara’. The Himveers of our ITBP always does the protection of the motherland, with their motto “Valour, Determination, Karma Nishtha”. Be it mountain climbing or adventure sports like river rafting in the Himalayas or organizing welfare activities for the people in the border areas, each This force has not only left an indelible mark in the region but has also set an example for other forces.

The Chief Minister said that remarkable work is being done by the force in disaster management. The Himveers of the force has carried out relief and rescue operations during natural calamities and accidents in different regions of the country with utmost promptness and efficiency. Due to the efforts made by ITBP for disaster management during the Kedarnath disaster of 2013 and the Tapovan disaster in 2021, the loss of life and property could be reduced to a great extent. The responsibility of providing security and medical cover to the pilgrims and the general public in remote and inaccessible areas of our state, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Char Dham Yatra, and in remote and inaccessible areas of the state is being successfully carried out by this force for many years. On behalf of all the people of the state, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for this invaluable contribution of the force personnel.

The Chief Minister said that he has not only seen the bravery of the soldier since childhood but has also seen the struggle of his family members. I have seen the pain of that parent whose son is fighting on the border for the pride of the country. I have seen the disquiet in the eyes of a wife who, while waiting for her husband’s arrival, does not know when she becomes old and sick. Heard the sobbing cries of children who are anxious to hug their father. There is so much struggle in the life of a soldier, but in spite of this, he is always ready to save the self-respect of his country. The Chief Minister expected the trainee officers that would work with full dedication and would always keep in mind the welfare of their subordinates. Prove yourself as an efficient and capable leader. The Chief Minister also congratulated the training staff of the Academy for providing them an excellent level of training and expressed hope that in the future also they would continue to provide such excellent training.
