New York. The world’s social media giant Twitter has finally started laying off its employees. The future of the company’s employees was hanging in the balance since Elon Musk announced the purchase of Twitter. According to media reports, the microblogging site has laid off 30 percent of the employees of its talent acquisition team. This team consisted of people whose job was to recruit new employees and bring new people on board. At the same time, Twitter has also confirmed that the company has fired 100 employees.

The Wall Street Journal has said in its report that Twitter has fired people from the talent acquisition team. Close to 100 employees have lost their jobs in the company. The staff layoffs come at a time when Elon Musk, pointing to possible layoffs, said Twitter needs to be healthy. Earlier, Twitter had announced a halt to hiring to cut costs. Indeed, the company was struggling to finalize Elon Musk’s takeover at the time. The takeover of Elon Musk is yet to be completed, as he has repeatedly spoken about breaking the deal over the issue of ‘bot accounts’ on the platform.

In another report, Wall Street confirmed that the Twitter deal is in grave danger. It was believed that Elon Musk’s team would soon issue a statement regarding the change. Musk had his first meeting with Twitter employees in June. During this, he said that the company needs to be financially healthy and it will also have to reduce costs.
