Nainital. In the morning, the car of tourists got washed away in the fast flow of the Dhela river in Ramnagar. Nine of the ten people in the car died while one person is seriously injured, and is being treated at the government hospital in Ramnagar. Police are busy identifying the dead. The tourists are said to be residents of Patiala in Punjab.

Ten tourists in an Innova car who were returning after staying at a resort in Dhela Ramnagar. It is being told that around 5:45 am, the tourists had reached the Dhela river route when their car was washed away by the strong current in the river.

The bodies of four tourists in the car have been recovered by the police. A young woman, Nazia, age 22, has been sent to the hospital in an injured condition. Kotwal Arun Kumar Saini said that there are still bodies of five people in the car, and efforts are on to remove them. A crane has been called to the spot to pull the car out of the river. Three youths and six women were among the dead.

The injured girl is undergoing treatment in the hospital, she is still in shock. Efforts are on to identify the dead. According to preliminary information, the tourists are said to be residents of Patiala Punjab, who had come to Dhela’s resort and were returning in the morning.
