824 sisters of the state got appointments as health workers on the occasion of Navratri

The Chief Minister gave 187 appointment letters to the chief servants in the house.

With the appointment of health workers, better health facilities will reach remote villages.

Dehradun. On the occasion of New Year and Chaitra Navratri, 824 sisters of the state were given appointment letters as health workers in different districts. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday gave appointment letters to 187 ANMs at Chief Minister’s residence. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi, and Transport Minister Chandan Ram Das were also present in this program organized under Nari Shakti Utsav.

Congratulating all the selected ANMs, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that God has given a golden opportunity to these sisters of ours to do public service, the satisfaction they will get from doing public service and the blessings they will get from the people will make their life completely successful. In order to provide better health facilities to the people in remote villages of the state, these women health workers are being given appointments in rural areas. Along with providing primary health facilities, they will also be responsible for taking care of pregnant women and infants. Health worker sisters will discharge the responsibility of providing treatment to the population around the sub-center of their area. Along with supporting expectant mothers, our ANMs also play an important role in pregnancy check-ups, registration, care of the newborn, etc.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly making efforts to make mother power self-reliant and empowered. He said that the state government is determined to bring welfare changes in the lives of the state’s mother power and make their future excellent. 30 percent horizontal reservation is being given to women in the state. Today our sisters and daughters have created a separate place for themselves in every field and have brought laurels to the state. The government has set a target of making Uttarakhand the best state, in which the cooperation and blessings of our mother power are essential. To make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country, all the departments are working on the roadmap for the next 10 years.

Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that all the ANMs who have been appointed today will serve in the difficult areas of the state for the next five years. Now 92 percent ANMs have become available in the state. Soon 171 assistant professors are being appointed in medical colleges. With this, the shortage of assistant professors in Almora, Srinagar, and Haldwani will be removed. Soon 300 MBBS doctors are passing out. They will also be given appointment letters soon. It is the effort of the state government that by 2024, 100 percent of MBBS doctors will be appointed in the state. Chief Minister’s health chaupal will be set up to strengthen the health facilities. A complete roster is being made for this.

Congratulating all the newly appointed ANMs, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that these sisters of ours will play an important role in providing better health facilities to the people. He said that health workers deserve gratitude for the service with which they saved the lives of lakhs of people, regardless of their own lives, during the Corona period. With the appointment of ANMs in remote areas of the state, people there will get a lot of relief in the field of health.

Cabinet Minister Chandan Ram Das said that continuous efforts are being made by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to make Uttarakhand a leader by 2025. Continuous efforts are being made to connect youth and mother power with employment and self-employment. The one-year term of the government is being completed tomorrow, during which many decisions have been taken in the public interest. Works have been done keeping in mind every section of society.
