Dehradun. Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that this time a big decision has been taken in the form of pre-examination. Till now 82 percent of students used pass in the state, this time a target of 90 percent has been set. He said that it has been decided to give the opportunity to the students who have failed in two subjects to take the marks improvement examination. Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat while talking to the media at the state BJP office on Sunday said that thousands of children will be benefited from this.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Rawat said that serious steps are being taken to reduce the burden of school bags on children. In this episode, there should be a system to keep the children’s bags in the schools, this is also under consideration. This campaign is also being taken across the state to make children go to school without school bags for one day a month. The idea is to include agriculture, yoga, and other activities for the day.

Dr. Rawat said that the government is also moving forward in the direction of reducing the burden of children’s school bags by 50 percent. Anyway, under the new education policy, now there are two semesters of six months each in a year. In such a situation, books can be given to the children on a per-semester basis. He said that soon after meeting with the officers of all the education boards operating in the state, they would be motivated for this.
