New Delhi. In the 30‑Block of Trilokpuri, Mayur Vihar, a 17‑year‑old boy was viciously stabbed, allegedly as retaliation for a feud that began two weeks earlier. Police have registered an attempted‑murder case, detained three juveniles and recovered two knives believed to be the weapons used.
Sequence of events
At roughly 21:30 on Wednesday, local residents alerted authorities to a teenager lying injured on the street. Officers from the Mayur Vihar police station rushed to the scene, administered first aid and transported the victim to LBS Hospital. Given the severity of his wounds, doctors later transferred him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for specialized care. As of the latest update, his condition is reported to be stable.
Background of the rivalry
Investigators uncovered that the victim had been involved in a confrontation with another minor about 15 days prior. According to police, the teenager and his friends had allegedly assaulted the other youngster during that earlier clash. The lingering animosity appears to have motivated the later ambush, during which the assailants allegedly cornered the teen and slashed him with knives.
Police response
Three juveniles have been taken into custody and are undergoing interrogation. Simultaneously, police teams are executing raids at suspected hideouts to locate a fourth minor believed to have taken part in the attack. The inquiry remains active as authorities work to piece together the full chain of events and assign responsibility.
"We are committed to a thorough investigation and will ensure that every participant, regardless of age, is held accountable," a police spokesperson said.
