New Delhi. There is good news for the media house. In order to rein in tech companies, the central government is now working towards enacting an IT law on payments for using media houses’ content. Such a law is already in force in Australia, Germany, and France.

Let us tell you that there has been a long-standing dispute around the world regarding revenue between tech companies and media houses. Digital media and news publishers say that big tech companies like Google and Facebook use their content as a source. Companies make huge profits from this, but media houses are not paid in return. Now the government has also become active in this matter.

According to media reports, the government is seriously considering implementing the law. After this, global technology companies like Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter will distribute their profits to the original content provider, which will give good profits to the media companies.

At the same time, in this regard, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that according to the law, there is a need to protect the Indian media house. India is not the first country that is working on such a law. Many countries have already done this. Governments around the world are becoming aware of the business models of tech companies. The business model of these companies has been detrimental to media houses and publishers.
