Fatal outcome of a domestic dispute in Sadarpur
On a Sunday in the Sadarpur neighbourhood, which falls under the Madhuban Bapudham police zone, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered dead after a violent confrontation with her spouse. Investigators have filed a case against the husband, Arun, who remains at large.
Renu’s origins and family background
Renu hailed from Jalalpur village in Aligarh’s Pisawa block. She had been married to Arun, a Sadarpur resident, for roughly fifteen years. The couple were parents to two sons, aged 12 and 9.
Family alleges a history of abuse
Maternal relatives say Arun displayed a pattern of physical aggression, especially after drinking alcohol. They contend that arguments were not new, noting several previous altercations between the pair.
Escalation on the day of the tragedy
According to the family, the latest dispute erupted on Sunday when another argument broke out. The quarrel allegedly turned physical, and Arun is reported to have placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to come and rescue her.
Brother’s hurried arrival
After receiving the distressing call, Rahul, accompanied by other relatives, drove to Sadarpur. Upon reaching the house they found it locked, and neighbours informed them that Renu had already been taken to a medical facility.
Hospital declaration
The family arrived at the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors examined Renu and pronounced her dead. Preliminary reports indicated a severe head injury, allegedly caused by a heavy object.
Husband’s disappearance
Relatives claim that members of Arun’s family left the hospital before they could arrive. Following the death, Rahul lodged a formal complaint naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.
Police response and ongoing manhunt
DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively searching for Arun. Police have begun tracing his whereabouts and said further legal steps will follow once he is located.
