New Delhi – Police in Delhi have taken a 32‑year‑old suspect into custody following a rape allegation lodged by a 43‑year‑old woman from the Keshav Puram locality. The accused has been identified as Vikas, a resident of nearby Tri Nagar.

Alleged Lure Under the Pretext of an Eye Check‑up

The complainant asserts that Vikas invited her to his home, claiming he would conduct an eye examination for her. Once she arrived, she says she was rendered unconscious and subsequently subjected to sexual assault.

FIR Filed and Immediate Action

In response to the woman's statement, officers at Keshav Puram Police Station registered an FIR invoking the pertinent sections of the law. The investigation team promptly moved to apprehend the suspect, culminating in his arrest.

Ongoing Investigation

Detectives are currently gathering forensic evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reconstructing the sequence of events. Further legal steps will be determined based on the outcome of the inquiry.
