New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑theater line, has introduced its flagship Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Targeting cinephiles and gamers alike, the unit combines a triple‑colour laser source, a built‑in 360° gimbal, and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to replicate a cinema experience without the need for a ceiling mount.

Price and Availability

The Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan in China, but a limited‑time promotional subsidy reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Customers can immediately select the sleek “Moonlight White” finish, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently open for reservations. No launch date or pricing information has been released for India.

4K Projection and Brightness

At the heart of the projector is a 0.47‑inch DMD imaging chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑colour laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough for well‑lit living rooms. The device supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics provide a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.

For a 100‑inch image, the projector should be placed roughly 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch picture can be achieved from about 3.3 m, depending on room geometry.

Gaming‑Ready Performance

The M2 Pro is engineered with gamers in mind. It can display 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while switching to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 port, MediaTek MT9679 processor, and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), ensuring fluid gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.

360° Gimbal Simplifies Setup

Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling mounts or external brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal that rotates a full 360°. Users can tilt the unit toward the ceiling, floor, or any angle, making it simple to adapt to different room layouts or screen locations.

Additional automatic tools—autofocus, keystone correction, and screen‑alignment assistance—further streamline installation, allowing the projector to find the optimal picture with minimal effort.

Four‑Speaker Audio System

Sound is delivered through a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The system is compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, providing an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visual experience.

India Launch Still Unannounced

At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is available only in China. Vidda has not announced an official launch timeline or pricing for the Indian market. Should the company decide to bring the projector to India, localized details on price, availability, and configuration will likely be released in a separate statement.
