Physicians at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh have carried out the successful operation of a stomach tumor of a 26-year-old woman with acute abdominal pain and severe vomiting problem for the past year and a half.

Film actor Sonu Sood was instrumental in taking the said woman of Bihar origin to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment.

The 26-year-old woman, a resident of Ara district in Bihar, underwent intensive health tests first in AIIMS Patna and then in Delhi AIIMS, wherein doctors found that the woman had a significantly larger tumor in her pancreas.

Due to which the said woman had complained of unbearable pain in the stomach continuously for the last year and a half. Apart from this, she was also suffering from the problem of constant vomiting.

Sonu Sood contacted Rishikesh AIIMS for quick treatment
Actor Sonu Sood contacted Rishikesh AIIMS for her prompt treatment due to the delay in the treatment of the woman in Patna and Delhi AIIMS despite serious illness. Where a team of specialist doctors intensively examined the female patient. The team of experts from the AIIMS Surgical Gastro Department successfully operated the woman.

The successful surgery team included Dr. Madhur Uniyal of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Abhishek Aggarwal of Surgery, and Dr. YS Payal of the Department of Anesthesia, Dr. Ajit Kumar. Dean Academic Professor Manoj Gupta said that the woman’s operation was very challenging. The woman’s tumor was operated on September 11, while the woman has been discharged on September 20.

He mentioned that when the treatment of the said woman could not be arranged in Patna and Delhi AIIMS, Rishikesh AIIMS not only saved the life of the woman but also cured and discharged her in a short time.

For this, actor Sood also thanked the expert doctors of the operation team including Director AIIMS Padmashree Professor Ravi Kant.
