Hyderabad. A murder case has been lodged after the lifeless body of 34‑year‑old bank employee B. Sirisha was found inside a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram in Vikarabad district, worked as a customer‑care executive for a bank.
How the pair arrived at the hotel
According to investigators, Sirisha arrived at the hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man identified as A. Srinivas. Both individuals allegedly used false names and forged identity documents while making the reservation.
The hotel’s register shows Srinivas had entered the name “Ganesh,” while Sirisha was listed as “Durga.” They were allocated room 10.
Suspicious disappearance
Srinivas reportedly checked out around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, telling staff that Sirisha would remain for breakfast before departing later. When the expected checkout never occurred and Sirisha failed to answer calls, hotel personnel grew uneasy and alerted the police.
Discovery of the body
Police entered the room using a master key and found Sirisha lying on the bed, apparently deceased. Initial observations noted bruising and possible wounds, suggesting an assault with a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod recovered from the scene is also being examined as potential evidence. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Investigation steps
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that the case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and investigators are reviewing CCTV footage to trace Srinivas’s movements and reconstruct the timeline.
Special squads have been constituted to locate Srinivas, and authorities are probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” used in the hotel records and Sirisha’s actual name as per official documents.
Possible links to prior incidents
Police are also looking into a previous alleged assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine if there is any connection to the current case. The hunt for Srinivas continues, with all angles being scrutinised.
