Mumbai: Monday’s box‑office numbers fell across the board, yet Ajay Devgn’s suspenseful sequel Drishyam 3 stayed firmly in front. After a blockbuster opening weekend, the film added roughly ₹21 crore on its first Monday, nudging its Indian net total to about ₹197.54 crore.
Drishyam 3 remains the clear leader
The film, released on 2 October under Abhishek Pathak’s direction, opened with ₹62 crore, followed by ₹53.5 crore on Saturday and ₹61 crore on Sunday. That three‑day haul kept the picture just shy of the coveted ₹200‑crore benchmark. With three consecutive days crossing the ₹50‑crore mark, it continues to outpace every other release currently in theatres. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat, the movie’s net collection now stands at ₹197.54 crore.
The Vvan slides below ₹1 crore
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvan enjoyed a respectable weekend but faltered once the workweek began. After a Sunday haul of ₹3.25 crore, Monday’s earnings plunged to ₹95 lakh on its 11th day, leaving the film’s Indian net at roughly ₹63.05 crore.
Hanuman Ansh sees a steep Monday dip
The two‑month‑old Hanuman Ansh keeps adding to an impressive total, yet its daily intake has slumped dramatically. Sunday’s collection was ₹3 crore, while Monday fell to about ₹75 lakh. Despite the dip, the film’s Indian net now hovers near ₹325.48 crore.
Prem Keetanu struggles to gain traction
Among the newer arrivals, Prem Keetanu has delivered a modest performance. The picture opened with ₹50 lakh on Friday, followed by ₹35 lakh on Saturday and ₹28 lakh on Sunday. Monday’s take was a mere ₹10 lakh, leaving its four‑day total at a low level. The cast includes Veer Pahariya, Afiya Syed and Aparshakti Khurana.
Overall box‑office picture
The latest figures widen the gap between the leader and the rest of the slate. While Drishyam 3 edges ever closer to the ₹200‑crore milestone, both The Vvan and Hanuman Ansh suffered pronounced Monday declines. As weekday earnings become the key barometer, the coming days will reveal whether these titles can sustain their theatrical momentum.
