Dehradun. Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited his native village ‘Hadkhola’ which is in Didihat, Pithoragarh. When he reached his native village for the first time after getting the responsibility of the Chief Minister, the people of the village thronged to get a glimpse of him. People felt that it would be difficult to go to Dhami and talk to him openly, but bypassing all the security arrangements, Chief Minister Dhami himself reached among his loved ones. It has already been his specialty to get along with the masses effortlessly. The festival of ‘Buddha Diwali’ and the arrival of the son of the village as Chief Minister on this occasion, doubled the enthusiasm of ‘Hadkhola’ village.

As soon as he reached the village, Dhami worshiped like a common person along with his family members at the Harichandra Devta temple. Asked the Ishta Dev for prosperity for the state. The priest of the temple, Vidyadhar Bhatt, got him worshipped. Pujari Bhatt says that as soon as he gets a “small post”, the common man becomes self-conscious, his mood comes to the Superiority Complex, but Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is still keeping his spontaneity and simplicity. In honor of Dhami, women filled the atmosphere with joy by organizing Jhoda-Chanchari in the temple premises. Dhami started the day at his ancestral home on Sunday morning on the occasion of ‘Buddha Diwali’ by offering prayers to the Ishta deity. After this, he went out to meet the people in the village. The security frills were so modest that everyone met them warmly. Somebody gave a whole (gift) to Dhami, while some gave affection and blessings.

Actually, Pushkar Singh Dhami had entered politics from the grass-root level. Due to his hard work and public service, he went ahead. He has a fine understanding of public concern and public respect. This is the reason why Dhami is rich in a very simple and simple personality. He stays away from VIP culture. Despite being the Chief Minister of the state, he has so much affinity that any common citizen of Uttarakhand can directly contact him on his mobile and tell his problem without any hesitation. Chief Minister Dhami also gives instructions to the officials immediately from the mobile itself and ensures that the public problems are resolved promptly.

As soon as he got the responsibility of the Chief Minister, Dhami, with simplicity, taking public service as his basic mantra, reduced the number of vehicles in his convoy so that during the passage of the CM convoy, the traffic on the roads is least affected and wasteful expenditure also stops. As soon as he became the Chief Minister, he gave instructions not to stop the ambulance and fire brigade under any circumstances.

Not only this, after becoming the Chief Minister of the state, he did not do any special frills to enter the Chief Minister’s residence, nor was any special change made in the Chief Minister’s residence. After the elections, where special attention is paid to making the bungalows of the ministers well-equipped by spending crores of rupees, only the necessary repairs and painting were done in the Chief Minister’s residence. No interior decoration of any kind was done in the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Dhami had a clear instruction that only cleanliness and urgent repair work should be done in the residence. There should not be any unnecessary expenditure on repairs. This is a direct example of his simplicity. Dhami addressed the public meeting organized in Pithoragarh in the Kumaoni language. Speaking in typical Kumaoni on various occasions expresses respect for their own mother tongue and the culture of Uttarakhand. This behavior of the Chief Minister is definitely working to give fame to the folk culture of Uttarakhand at the national and international level.
