The 11-month-old girl, who returned home from Shanghai city of China after being frightened by the Coronavirus, underwent fever on Sunday night and was undergoing medical examination at the district hospital on Monday. Doctors say that the sample of the baby girl will be sent to a lab in Pune. At the same time, despite giving instructions, the couple did not enroll the girl in the isolation ward and took her home.
The couple, who are employed in China, returned home after catching a flight from Shanghai to New Delhi on January 26, fearing the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The doctors present at the Delhi airport tested him thermally due to coronavirus. In the investigation, he was out of danger. After this, when he reached Udham Singh Nagar, he was called for counseling from the Health Department.

Sample sent in three-layer packing
In counseling, he was told that he would give an update to the health department in case of any problem. The couple reported it to the health department on Sunday night when the girl had a mild fever. The health department called her to the district hospital for a medical examination of the child.

Dr. RD Bhatt, posted in the emergency ward, said that the girl had a mild fever. Families were instructed to get the girl admitted to the isolation ward for 15 days, but the relatives said that they should be safer in the girl’s house and went away with her.

ACMO Dr. Avinash Khanna said that despite being explained, the relatives did not enroll the girl in the isolation ward and took her home. He said that the samples of the baby girl have been sent to a lab in Pune in a special three-layer packing. Only after the report comes, something can be said in this regard.
